The aim of our courses is to give students the skills, knowledge and confidence to build a successful career in their chosen profession.
We have developed a flexible format for our courses which allows students to study at their own pace. Most of the courses can be started at any time and combine home study with intensive practical workshops held at our Sports Clinic in Bath.
Our team of experienced tutors includes Chartered Physiotherapists, Sports Therapists, Sports Massage Therapists, Personal Training Instructors, Nutritionists and First Aid Instructors. Their expertise and personal approach enable us to provide individual students with high quality tuition and ongoing support throughout their courses.
Particular emphasis is placed on encouraging active participation during the practical workshops. Training in small groups, students gain the essential hands-on clinical experience that leads to professional competency and effective performance. They are given the opportunity to learn and practice their skills within the environment of a working Sports Clinic.
Successful completion of our courses will provide students with the necessary qualifications to secure professional insurance cover and to gain membership of a number of leading associations within the sports and fitness industry.
The School is committed to offering courses which include nationally recognised qualifications. We are an approved Training Centre for the Vocational Training Charitable Trust and shortly for Premier IQ and Medic First Aid.
Our Awarding Bodies are regulated by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA), a public body sponsored by the Department for Education and Skills (DfES). They provide qualifications set to the National Qualifications Framework (NQF), accredited by the QCA and endorsed by Skills Active and Skills for Health, two of the Government appointed Sector Skills Councils.
We are a Registered Learning Provider for Career Development Loans (CDL), which are the responsibility of the Learning and Skills Council. CDL are deferred repayment loans made available to fund vocational education.
