Course Syllabus:
Emergency first aid techniques. This course covers:
- Scene Assessment & Safety
- Basic Life Support (including Primary Survey, Adult CPR and Choking)
- Shock Management
- Control of Bleeding
- Seizures & Minor Injuries
Who should take this course?
Anyone who is looking to gain the required first aid skills necessary to manage a patient that is not breathing normally, unconscious, bleeding, ill or injured prior to the arrival of the emergency services.
Entry requirements:
None
Qualification gained on completion of course:
Emergency First Aid Certificate
Course Structure:
1 day training (6 hours) with workbooks and reference manuals provided.

Course Syllabus:
Emergency and sports first aid techniques. This course covers:
- Scene Assessment & Safety
- Basic Life Support (including Primary Survey, Adult & Child CPR and Choking)
- Shock Management
- Control of Bleeding
- Seizures & Minor Injuries
- Physical Assessment
- Head to Toe Survey
- Breathing, Circulatory and Nervous System Problems
- Other Injuries & Medical Problems
- Return to play
Who should take this course?
Anyone who is looking to gain basic first aid skills and the ability to manage sports specific illnesses and injuries.
Entry requirements:
None
Qualification gained on completion of course:
Sports First Aid Certificate
(This qualification also meets the HSE recommendations for Appointed Persons in the Workplace)
Course Structure:
2 days (12 hours) training with workbooks and reference manuals provided.
